Discovering the versatility of photo transfers and their application to create a personal story mixing photo images and the monotype process, I am now doing commissions for family and individual portraits. The prints included here are samples of past commissioned prints. Clients are either interested in a print for themselves, an original art piece that also tells a story through personal imagery selected by the client, or in commissioning a print that will celebrate an event (e.g., wedding). Typically, I meet with the client to review the selected photographs which will be featured in the piece (usually no more than three to five). I also conduct an interview to get some background information about the photographs such as who's who, the period, location, and relationship. Working will all of the information that has been provided, the photos inform the choices I will make, (e.g., palette), to create a final print incorporating the images into the composition.

The whole process takes four to six weeks. The prices vary depending on the size and complexity of the piece. On average 20" X 20" prints are between $500 and $750 unframed.
